General visa information for Turkmenistan

Tourist visa can be obtained upon arrival in Ashgabat city airport with the submission of passport, two colored photos in 3x4 format and original or copy of the invitation letter issued by the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan and to pay  visa fee.

For to obtain a visa at the Embassy need to submit the following documents to the Consular Section of the Embassy.

1.Original or copy of the invitation letter issued by the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan;

2.Passport;

3.Visa application form completed in two copies (attached);

4.Two photos in 3x4 format.

Consular fee need to be paid at the date of submission of the documents to the Consular Section of the Embassy. In case of refusal or cancellation of the visa, the consular fee can’t be returned. Visa issues within ten calendar days from the date of submission of documents. Consular fee can be paid only in Euro.

For children aged up to 7 years visa issues without consular fees, only payment is for sticker and the cost of services, which is 15 Euro.

For those entering to Turkmenistan for more than 3 months need to submit medical certificate concerning absence of HIV infection.

Driver visa

Drivers visa obtains at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Romania. For it necessary to submit the following documents to the Consular Section of the Embassy.

1.Official letter addressed to the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Romania with the specification - name, place and date of birth, occupation, duration of stay in Turkmenistan, all route with dates, entry and exit points of Turkmenistan, signature, stamp and signature (for legal entities);

2. Documents of vehicle;

3.Completed driver questionnaire (attached);

4. Passport;

5.Three photos (3x4).

Verification of documents lasts 10 to 15 days, in case of receiving a positive response, the visa can be issued within 10 day or 3 day (urgent).

Transit visa

Transit visa obtains at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Romania. Transit visa can be issued maximum for 5 days. For to obtain need to submit the following documents to the Consular Section of the Embassy:

1.Official letter addressed to the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Romania with the specification - name, place and date of birth, occupation, duration of stay in Turkmenistan, all route with dates, entry and exit points of Turkmenistan, signature, stamp and signature (for legal entities);

2.Visa of the country before entering country to Turkmenistan and exiting country;

4.Completed driver questionnaire (attached);

5. Passport;

6.Three photos (3x4).

Verification of documents lasts 10 to 15 days, in case of receiving a positive response, visa can be issued within 10 day or 3 day (urgent).
