THE DEVELOPMENT OF TURKMEN-ROMANIAN COOPERATION IN THE FIELD OF CULTURE WAS DISCUSSED

On May 23, 2023, within the framework of the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in Romania, a meeting was held between the head of the Turkmen delegation, the Deputy Minister of culture of Turkmenistan N.Shirimov and the Minister of culture of Romania Lucian Romaşcanu.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Turkmen side expressed gratitude for the hospitality provided within the framework of the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan and assistance in organizing this cultural event.

During the meeting, the parties noted with satisfaction the high level of interaction between the two countries in the cultural sphere. The significance of the current bilateral agreement on cooperation in the field of culture was emphasized, which is a good basis for holding joint events and within which cross Days of Culture are held.

The parties expressed a common opinion that cultural diplomacy is an integral part of the dynamically developing Turkmen-Romanian relations.

The interlocutors also discussed the possibility of the participation of the Romanian side in the “Avaza 2023” International Dance and Folklore Festival, which will be held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone on June 13-16, 2023.
