TELEPHONE CONVERSATION BETWEEN THE PRESIDENT OF TURKMENISTAN AND THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN

On September 22, 2023, a telephone conversation took place between the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The leader of the friendly country cordially congratulated the head of Turkmenistan on his birthday, wishing him good health, happiness and success in his multifaceted and responsible state activities for the benefit of the prosperity of the sovereign Fatherland and the well-being of the Turkmen people. Taking this opportunity, the President of Uzbekistan asked to convey warm words of greetings on his behalf to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Hero-Arkadag, who made a huge personal contribution to the strengthening and comprehensive development of interstate relations.

Expressing sincere gratitude for the warm congratulations and good wishes on the occasion of his birthday, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that Turkmenistan highly values ​​its relations with brotherly Uzbekistan.

As noted, in recent years, cooperation between the two countries has reached a qualitatively new level, developing in a wide range of areas.

It was stated that today our countries successfully cooperate not only in a bilateral format, but also within the framework of international authoritative structures.

During the conversation, the heads of the two states noted with satisfaction the dynamic development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation. This also applies to agriculture, electricity, oil and gas complex and other industries. Recently, interregional ties have noticeably intensified. Direct business contacts between business circles are successfully carried out.
