Embassy of Turkmenistan in Romania took part in the 13th “ClasicFest” festival

On May 25, 2024, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Romania took part in the 13th “ClasicFest” festival, which was held under the slogan “Cultures of the World” in the cultural center of the Mogoshai park and palace complex. Each country organized a national stand at the event.

As part of the festive program, a grand opening took place, at which the organizers gave a speech. Ambassador A.Annaev in his speech noted the influence of the Magtymguly Fragi’s creativity in the development of the Turkmen language and literature, Turkmen national identity and statehood, as well as his contribution to the treasury of universal spiritual values. Also noted the role of Magtymguly Fragi in the development of international and friendly relations not only in the countries of the East, but also in the world as a whole.

During the event, videos about the life of Magtymguly Fragi and a documentary about Turkmenistan prepared by the Romanian National Television were shown.

The national exhibition dedicated to the cultural heritage of the countries attracted special attention of the guests. At the stand of the Embassy of Turkmenistan, visitors were able to get acquainted with the economic achievements and elements of the cultural heritage of the country. Guests were presented with Turkmen carpets, national costumes, traditional handicrafts and embroideries by Turkmen craftswomen, silver jewelry, musical instruments, and colorful photographs about Turkmenistan. Also, as part of the event, an exhibition of books by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and works by Magtymguly Fragi in different languages, including Romanian, was organized for visitors.

In the musical part of the celebration, the Turkmen side performed in front of the audience with national musical and folklore works on dutar, and the performance of the folk group conveyed the colorful character of the Turkmen kushtdepdi.

The exhibition was attended by representatives of Romanian official bodies and heads of the diplomatic corps, public figures, residents of Romania, media representatives, as well as students from Turkmenistan studying at universities in Romania.
