Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held a meeting with the Ambassador of the European Union

On 12 August 2026, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov had a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the European Union to Turkmenistan Beata Pexa.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the current state and prospects for further development of Turkmenistan–European Union cooperation, as well as on topical issues of the international and regional agenda.

The sides emphasized the importance of consistent political dialogue and constructive interaction in strengthening and expanding cooperation between Turkmenistan and the European Union. Particular attention was paid to cooperation in environmental protection and preservation of the ecosystem of the Caspian Sea.
