DIPLOMATIC INSTITUTIONS OF TURKMENISTAN AND THE REPUBLIC OF AZERBAIJAN HELD TALKS ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF COOPERATION

On May 22, 2020, a video conference was held between the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the University of the Diplomatic Academy of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ADA University).

Highlighting the positive experience of long-term cooperation between the two countries, the participants noted that the interstate relations between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan have been expanding in recent years.

At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2020, the participation of the President of Turkmenistan in the work of the Cooperation Council of the Turkic Speaking States and the Non-Aligned Movement and the important initiatives put forward by the President of Turkmenistan to address issues of interest to the world community were also discussed.

Emphasizing the importance of the relationship established between the scientific institutions in the bilateral relations, the sides discussed in detail the work done in this area and the perspectives of the relationship.

At the end of the meeting, the participants thanked the leaders of the two countries for creating ample opportunities for the establishment and development of close relations between the academic teams of the two higher educational institutions.
