The annual international Turkish-Tatar festival "Kara Ulis Kurultay"

In the period September 1-4, 2023, the annual international Turkish-Tatar festival "Kara Ulis Kurultay" was held on the Turquoise Venus Beach in Constanta,

As part of the festive program took place the solemn opening of the exhibition-fair of each country, at which the organizers made a speech, and 15 traditional games and sports were also held at the festival, 10 of which are included in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List, 5 world championships, refreshments and performance of traditional music and dance, creative and craft workshops of 40 participating countries.

Special attention of the guests was attracted by the national exhibition in yurts dedicated to the cultural heritage of the countries. At the yurt of the Embassy of Turkmenistan, the guests were presented with Turkmen carpets, national costumes, traditional handicrafts and embroideries of Turkmen craftswomen, silver jewelry, musical instruments, colorful photographs about Turkmenistan. Visitors also had the opportunity to get acquainted with the scientific works of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and other publishing materials about Turkmenistan.

Within the framework of the festival took part an international conference "UNESCO Intangible Heritage: Present and Future" was held, in which cultural, art and sports figures, representatives of government agencies and foreign embassies in Romania.

During the conference, the staff of the Embassy spoke about the economic development and the rich cultural and historical heritage of our country, about the Turkmen folklore art and about national dances like kushtdepdi.
