Issues of Turkmen-Romanian educational cooperation were discussed
On March 5, 2024, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Romania A.Annaev met with the rector of the Oil and Gas University Ploiesti A.Dinitsa in the university building.
During the meeting, the parties noted the high level of bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and Romania. At the same time, special attention was paid to Turkmen-Romanian interaction in the field of higher education.
A.Dinitsa emphasized that the established ties between the International University of Oil and Gas named after Ya.Kakaev and the Petroleum and Gas University of Ploiesti, through the signing of a cooperation agreement between the named universities in 2017, served to strengthen and develop educational cooperation between the two countries.
Further, the sides discussed joint participation in various international scientific conferences and Olympiads held both in Turkmenistan and Romania in 2024. In continuation of this topic, the Ambassador proposed organizing lectures on transport and energy diplomacy of Turkmenistan for university students.
The parties agreed to explore the possibilities of holding various cultural events between the Ploiesti Oil and Gas University and the Embassy this year as part of the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great Turkmen philosopher Magtymguly Fragi.
The Ambassador also met with Turkmen students studying at this university. During the meeting, students were familiarized with the goals and achievements for the development of the state, which were discussed at an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on February 9, 2024, as well as a meeting of the Presidium of the Halk Maslahaty chaired by the National Leader of the Turkmen people on February 22, 2024.
