The VII session of the International Ahalteke Horse Association was opened in Ashgabat

On April 27, 2017, the VII session of the International Ahalteke Horse Association started in Ashgabat, under the chairmanship of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The forum was attended by members of the government, foreign and domestic members of the International Ahalteke Horse Association, workers in the horse breeding industry of the country, representatives of the media.

During the meeting, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov presented state awards of Turkmenistan to a number of foreign members of the Association for a great personal contribution to the joint work.

Then, the Regional Director for Central Asia of the International Epizootic Bureau (OIE), Kazimiras Lukauskas, presented President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with a certificate on the establishment in Turkmenistan of a zone free from horse diseases. Also during the meeting, the head of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI), Ingmar De Vos, presented President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with the Cup and the FEI medal for his great contribution to the development of the equestrian sphere in Turkmenistan.

Expressing gratitude to the President of the International Equestrian Federation for participating in the events held on the occasion of the Turkmen Horse Day, the Turkmen leader said that he accepts this award as recognition of the merits of the entire Turkmen people, Turkmen horse breeders.
