A bike ride in Bucharest on the occasion of "World Bicycle Day"
On June 3, 2020, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Romania and the non-governmental organization "Green Revolution" organized a bike ride in Bucharest on the occasion of "World Bicycle Day" and the 25th anniversary of the Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan.
The bike ride was attended by Turkmen students studying in Romania, the Embassy representatives and the Green Revolution representative.
In the opening of the event, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan in Romania, A. Annayev, gave a speech in which he mentioned that great efforts are being made in Turkmenistan, under the leadership of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, to develop the sports and physical education movement, to build a culture ecological development of society, in order to develop cooperation between states and peoples in this field. Also he mentioned that, at the initiative of Turkmenistan on April 12, 2018, at the UN General Assembly, a resolution was adopted on June 3 as "World Bicycle Day".
Also, Razvan Nastase, the project manager of I'Velo, from "Green Revolution", stated in his speech that the initiative of Turkmenistan played an important role in adopting the "World Bicycle Day" close to the people. At the same time, he mentioned the opportunities for cooperation between the "Green Revolution" and the Turkmen side.
