State Visit of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the Republic of Korea Begins

On 14 September 2026, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov departed on a state visit to the Republic of Korea, where he will also participate in the first Central Asia–Republic of Korea Summit.

In the modern era, Turkmen-Korean relations have gained new momentum and are developing on the principles of strategic partnership. In recent years, as a result of regular high-level contacts, constructive interstate cooperation has been characterized by a dynamic nature.

The current state visit of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov will open a new chapter in multifaceted Turkmen-Korean cooperation, the foundations of which were laid by the National Leader of the Turkmen people.

At the airport for the reception of high-ranking guests in Seoul, the President of Turkmenistan was warmly welcomed by officials of the Republic of Korea and Turkmenistan.
