AMBASSADOR OF INDIA TO TURKMENISTAN COMPLETES HIS DIPLOMATIC MISSION

On January 31, 2020, a meeting was held with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India Azar Abul Hasan Han, completing his diplomatic mission in Turkmenistan.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Turkmen side expressed gratitude to the Ambassador for his personal contribution to the development of Turkmen-Indian relations. Then sides exchanged views on cooperation in transport, energy and economy fields. The parties also stressed the role of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline, which will serve as a bridge connecting Central and South Asia.

Also sides highlighted the importance of expanding Turkmen-Indian cooperation in the agricultural sector, as well as in the chemical industry.

During the meeting there was also paid attention to the issues of interaction in the cultural-humanitarian sphere. In particular, the importance of cooperation in science, culture and education, health, tourism and sports, as well as in the field of modern information and communication technologies was emphasized.

At the end of the meeting, the Ambassador once again expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the comprehensive support and assistance in the implementation of his diplomatic mission in Turkmenistan, aimed at strengthening mutually beneficial ties between the two countries.
