THE EMBASSY OF TURKMENISTAN IN ROMANIA ORGANIZED A ROUND TABLE IN HONOR OF THE 27TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE STATUS OF PERMANENT NEUTRALITY OF TURKMENISTAN

On December 10, 2022, as part of the celebration of the 27th anniversary of the status of permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan, the Embassy organized a round table dedicated to this significant event.

In their speeches, the staff of the Embassy, emphasizing the importance of the Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan, informed the students about the 45th plenary meeting of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly. During which the General Assembly considered the draft resolution "International Year of Dialogue as a Guarantee of Peace, 2023", submitted by Turkmenistan under item 14 of the agenda "Culture of Peace" and on the initiative of Turkmenistan, as a result of which the International Conference will be held in Turkmenistan on December 11 this year " Dialogue is a guarantee of peace.”

During the speeches, they talked about the development of Turkmenistan after gaining independence in 1991, about the status of Neutrality of Turkmenistan, about the international initiatives of Turkmenistan, about bilateral Turkmen-Romanian cooperation in various fields, about the significance and goals of the United Nations. The goals enshrined in the Charter of the Organization regarding the maintenance of peace and security are consonant with the principles of the permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan, which was unanimously recognized by all UN members in 1995, also in 2015 by the relevant General Assembly Resolutions.

Students in their speeches expressing gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the tireless care and attention paid to the Turkmen youth, as well as for creating conditions for peace, well-being and prosperity for the future generation, noted the success of the neutral status of Turkmenistan in the international arena.

    

In the second part of the event, students were shown videos about the achievements of Turkmenistan over 27 years of neutrality in ensuring security and peace.

At the end of the event was organized a festive dinner.

After the festive dinner, Turkmen students performed national music on the musical instrument "Dutar".
