President of Turkmenistan hosted Minister of Trade and Industry of Saudi Arabia

President of Turkmenistan H.E. Mr. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov hosted Minister of Trade and Industry of Saudi Arabia H.E. Mr.   Tawfiq bin Fevzan Al-Rabia, who arrived in Ashgabat to participate to the meeting of the intergovernmental Turkmen-Saudi Commission on trade-economic cooperation as well at business forum.

During the meeting both sides exchanged their views on the prospects of Intergovernmental cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats, primarily in the framework of international organizations.

The head of state and his guest emphasized the interest of both countries in the implementation of joint projects. As a priority area of cooperation were mentioned trade and economy, transport and communications, textile and food industry, construction, sport and tourism.

A particular focus at the meeting was accorded to the establishment of cooperation in the fuel and energy sector. H.E. Mr. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov proposed partners from Saudi Arabia to realize joint projects in this key sector for both national economies of the country. Also was noted the importance of strengthening the traditional cultural relations.
