Ceremony of opening of exhibition of Turkmen art objects at the National Museum Brukenthal

On 11th October 2016, at the National Museum of Brukenthal, city Sibiu was held the official opening ceremony of exhibition of traditional art objects of Turkmenistan, which was organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Romania in collaboration with the National Museum of Brukenthal. The exhibition was dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Independence of Turkmenistan and the Year of “Honoring the Heritage, Transformation of the Fatherland”. At the exhibition were presented manual Turkmen carpets, national costumes, musical instruments, scientific works of the President of Turkmenistan H.E. Mr. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, as well as the other promotional materials about Turkmenistan.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Head of the National Museum Brukenthal, representatives of local authorities and the diplomatic corps, accredited in city Sibiu, as well as representatives of the local community and the intellectuals, mass-media, students from Turkmenistan, studying at the High Universities of city Sibiu. At the opening ceremony, Ambassador and the representatives of the Museum held the speech, in which they mentioned rich culture of Turkmenistan, as well as expressed confidence that this joint action will allow residents of city Sibiu get to know more about the cultural heritage of Turkmenistan. The exhibition will continue until the 17th October 2016.

After the opening ceremony at the Reception Hall of Museum by the Embassy of Turkmenistan was organized a reception.
