On December 4, 2024, a delegation from the International University for the Humanities and Development (IUHD) met with Marius Profiroios, Vice Rector of the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE), and Livius Cotfas, Director of the International Cooperation Department. Founded in 1913, ASE is recognized as the largest institution specializing in economics in Romania and Southeastern Europe. Currently, it hosts 23,000 students and offers 25 undergraduate programs, 78 master’s programs, two international MBA programs, and ten doctoral tracks.

During the meeting, Vice Rector Marius Profiroios provided an in-depth overview of ASE’s history, activities, academic programs, schools, research institutes, laboratories, and its experience in international collaboration. Vice Rector of IUHD N. Shyhlyyev highlighted IUHD’s MBA program, successfully running since 2019, and expressed interest in developing a dual-degree MBA program based on a 1+1 system. This proposal received enthusiastic support from ASE’s leadership, who expressed hope to launch the joint program in the upcoming academic year. Notably, ASE’s MBA program holds the prestigious AMBA accreditation, reflecting its adherence to global standards established by the international business school community.

The discussions also addressed potential collaboration within the Erasmus+ program. Both institutions agreed to enhance IUHD’s participation in Erasmus+ initiatives through a strengthened partnership with ASE. At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties outlined future cooperation plans and expressed gratitude for the constructive dialogue.
