The opening ceremony of the exhibition, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan was held in Romania

On August 6, 2020, the opening ceremony of the exhibition of photographs and ethnographic objects of Turkmenistan, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan was held. The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Romania jointly with the Interparliamentary Friendship Group “Romania-Turkmenistan” organized the exhibition in the premises of the Parliament of Romania.

Turkmen diplomats, the Chairman of the Interparliamentary Friendship Group “Romania-Turkmenistan” Istvan Janos Antal, Mayor of Carei municipality Eugen Kovacs, Head of the Satu-Mare County Museum Attila Nandor Hago, Counselor of the Caroi County Cultural Technical Center Adrian Stefanutz, representatives of the ministries and organizations of Romania, scientists and art workers, as well as representatives of local society and media participated in the official opening ceremony of the Exhibition.

The colorful photographs about Turkmenistan, handmade carpets, national attire, embroideries made by Turkmen craft women, Turkmen musical instruments, the scientific works and books of the President of Turkmenistan were presented to visitors of the Exhibition.

During the exhibition, in the speeches were made about the development of Turkmenistan after gaining independence in 1991, about the status of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan, about the country’s initiatives in the international arena, about bilateral Turkmen-Romanian cooperation in various fields, as well as about the cultural heritage of the Turkmen people.

The importance of such events in strengthening cultural and humanitarian cooperation between friendly people of Turkmenistan and Romani was also noted.
