The 6th meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Romanian commission for economic and scientific-technical cooperation had been held in Bucharest

On June 14-15, 2016 the 6th meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Romanian commission for economic and scientific-technical cooperation had been held in Bucharest, which was attended by the delegation of Turkmenistan headed by the Minister of Finance of Turkmenistan H.E. Mr. Muhammet Muhammedov and Co-Chairman of the Romanian part of the commission was the Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy, Trade and relations with the business environment of Romania H.E. Mr. Costin Grigore Bork.

As a result of the Commission's meeting the two sides signed a Protocol of the meeting, which included co-operation in such areas as trade, energy, transport, agriculture, textiles, tourism, education and culture.

During the visit to Romania, the Minister of Finance of Turkmenistan held bilateral meetings with the heads of the Romanian Ministry of Finance, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania, the Bucharest Securities Stock Exchange and the Agency for supervision of securities market, the market of private pensions and insurance market of Romania.

Also, during the visit the members of the Turkmen delegation held bilateral meetings in the ministries and agencies of Romania, as well as with the representatives of major Romanian companies.
