Telephone conversation of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan H.E. Mr. Rashid Meredov with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation H.E. Sergey Lavrov

On 12th August 2016, held a telephone conversation of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan H.E. Mr. Rashid Meredov with  Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation H.E. Mr. Sergey Lavrov.

At the beginning of the conversation the parties congratulated each other with the Day of the Caspian Sea, which is celebrated annually by the Caspian States on 12th August, in connection with the entry in this day in 2006, in force of the Framework Convention for the Protection of the Marine Environment of the Caspian Sea.

The foreign minister of Turkmenistan and Russia discussed issues related to further development of bilateral cooperation, including the partnership in the economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as cooperation in the Caspian region.

The telephone conversation was initiated by the Russian side.
